Home town wedding!

So for those of you that know me well, you know I'm from the Big Rapids area. Well I was pretty excited when Jenn Badalamenti said she needed me to second shoot for a wedding right in my home town! I hate to say it but its been at least four years since I have even been through there so I was pretty excited to see all the change. Kasey and James were are lovely bride and groom, they were great to shoot and were even more fun just to be around! The whole day turned out to be great....even the weather, which was a good thing considering it was a beautiful outdoor wedding next to Hemlock Park. Being from the area also helped with finding different locations to shoot at. As with most the wedding I do with Jenn, I spent the morning/afternoon with the guys so the first place I took them to was River Rock...aka the launch for the sawmill tubing. It was a pretty perfect location so I couldn't help but ask Jenn to convince the bride and groom to stop back out there for a couple shots before the reception. After a couple other stops by the bridal party to celebrate we were off to the reception. The only thing I would change about the day..... learning where all the local business moved to before I told the limo driver he could follow me, I never thought a city could change so much in four years!

Pet Projects...

I mean that title in the most literal sense. My brother and I have managed to engage ourselves in yet another project...this time taking care of four little bunnies that the mother conveniently left in our back yard. They started off with they're eyes shut and barely eating to now eating grasses and conveniently finding ways to jump out of their box and hide all over the house. I have managed to keep the added responsibility of pets, with the exception of two goldfish, out of my home since we moved in...but I can't help but think these little guys are the cutest things ever!

Helping one step at a time...

So I wanted to let everyone know about a wonderful cause that I am currently involved with. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training® is the world's largest endurance sports training program. I will be fundrasing over the next five months as well as training for a marathon that I am running in Dublin this October. I am really excited about the program and promote you to look into it. Blood cancers can affect people of all ages and backgrounds. If you have any question about how to get involved or if you just want to help by donating please check back here in a few days or contact me and I will be more than happy to load you up with tons of information.

More family pictures

Here's some more family shots that I did over the weekend. The day took about 8 hours but it was great time and the weather was amazing.
This is the best full belly laugh I've ever seen or heard!
Daddy's girl for sure...
Mother and daughters shot...
This little boy is slightly autistic, but he was the best natural poser I've ever shot!

This has got to be one of the best big brothers I've ever met.

Sisters and nieces...

These three were a riot to shoot this past weekend.

favorite toys

My kids are great and I love them to death but I've always wondered why children always pick the loudest toys to be their favorites. We have to keep a bag of these little noise makers in the House at all times for my two year old! She loves them! I could help but take a picture to throw in her baby book.

Getting behind

So I have been getting extremely behind with my updating lately and I'm sorry but I'm justifying it because of all the new equipment I've been getting over the past month. Lets just say, I'm working with a whole new studio this summer! Of course I'm very excited to finally have some really great stuff to work with but I'm also spending most of my time getting used to all this new stuff. I promise in the next few weeks I'll try and post some new things so you can see my progress. I also am trying to spend as much time with the girls before wedding season starts back up. This year is going to be pretty crazy but I'm excited to see how it all turns out. Business is really picking up for me as well as some of my colleagues that I still shoot with so I'll have plenty of fun new post coming up! Until then wish me luck!
